Finding the best profile for the right opportunity is an everyday task for every IT service company! But how can you successfully proceed without the volume of your database slowing you down

BoondSuggest will help you save a lot of time in your profile research by suggesting you candidates and resources

Configuring profile suggestions

You can configure BoondSuggest in order to have the tool prefilter a selection of candidates and resources!

There are 2 types of configuration: from the administration and personal configuration (for managers).

Administrator configuration

You can configure BoondSuggest by default for all your users!

Administration > Global Settings > Opportunities/Projects tab

Administration BoondSuggest.png

  1. Select the search perimeter for candidates and resources: i.e. my agency, my pole etc.
  2. Exclude candidate and resource cards depending on their types: i.e. converted into a resource, director, business manager, etc.
  3. Exclude candidate and resource cards depending on their current state.
  4. Choose which fields of the opportunity card should be included in the keyword search: tools, expertise area, activity area, title etc. (pick one, all, or none..). The goal here is to benefit from Boond's powerful database indexing if you use these fields in your DT tabs.
  5. Select which Opportunity filters will automatically be applied when searching for available fields: tools, expertise area, title, etc.

  Priority for the Manager's configuration!

If your managers have already customized settings for BoondSuggest, the priority goes to their personal settings. Changing the configuration in the Administration, will not modify their configuration.

User configuration (Manager)

Your administrator has already set up a default configuration to help you out but you can, of course, customize your own criteria for your interface

Your name > Configuration > Profile suggestions tab

Using BoondSuggest

BoondSuggest is available to help you save precious time on filtering profiles. Here's how to make the best use of it

Editing BoondSuggestion criteria.gif

  • Qualify your opportunity at best so that BoondSuggest can use the data.
  • Click on "Position" to start the process.
  • Choose "Profile suggestions": it will indicate the number of found candidates and resources.
  • Edit keywords and filters as needed. The filter bar uses the default BoondSuggest settings but you can save new filtering criteria to be applied to this opportunity only
  • Easily navigate between Candidates and Resources.
  • Select the profiles you wish to position and click on the "Position" button to return to your opportunity card and work on your business prospection.

  Not the right criteria?

If you have for habit to often change criteria, maybe your default configuration isn't well adjusted.

Don't hesitate to edit the default search criteria to save more time

F.A.Q.

What's the purpose of the "Save these criteria" feature?

It allows you to save all criteria you just changed when searching for a profile to position on your opportunity in order to later come back to it without starting from the default BoondSuggestions.

Can I update the BoondSuggest configuration of all my managers altogether?

Configuring in the Administration > Global settings > Opportunities/Projects tab will update the entire default settings of managers who have not yet configured their own default settings. If your managers wish to change their default configuration, they will have to manually do it themselves or you can also log on their manager account through the Administration (if you have the right access to do so).

I do not have any filters or keywords applied on my BoondSuggest in the Project card?

This means that the Opportunity that originated the Project did not have any when created! You will need to, either manually apply your own criteria if this is a one-off case, or you need to update the related opportunity for Boond to save these criteria.

I modified the filters and keywords but I would like to go back to the default BoondSuggestions?

As long as you haven't "saved the criteria", you will be able to click on "Reset criteria" to go back to the tool's default suggestions.

Is the BoondSuggest feature available in Project cards?

Yes it is! Profile suggestions work exactly the same as they do for opportunities but will only suggest you resources' profiles!

How can I reset the default configuration on my personal settings?

On your Configuration page, all you need to do is click on the rotating arrow icon next to "Profile suggestions settings".
