Need help installing the app?
Nothing could be easier: we invite you to follow this dedicated tutorial! Also, remember to adjust the app's visibility according to your preferences.
Configuration of rights
You can configure various elements for using this app, including:
- Which equipment list the manager can see on the app
- If the manager can read and/or modify equipment cards
- If the manager can create and/or delete equipment cards
To do this, first go to:
Administration > Manager/Role > the concerned manager's role
Finally, specifically access the Equipment Loan app settings by going through:
Apps tab > Equipment Loan > Configuration cogwheel
Good to know
You will need to configure search rights for loans and returns, access rights to loan cards, and the rights to create/delete these cards. To assist you with this configuration, you can refer to the dedicated articles:
Dependency on the Resources module
Caution! Access to different tracking cards also depends on the rights to the "Main Data" group of the "Resources" module > "Card" tab, which must be at least readable.
To create a tracking card, go to the Resource card of the concerned employee:
Resource card > Equipment loan tab > "+" button
You can then fill in four different sections, which we will review together below.
Identification of equipment
Start by detailing the "Equipment" section: this is where you can enter the type of equipment, its serial number, name, and internal reference (if applicable).
Also, remember to update the state!
Equipment allocation
Once the equipment is provided to your employee, fill in the "Provision of equipment" section with the loan date and the condition of the loaned equipment (new, good condition, etc.).
You can also add a comment (useful for noting the shipping tracking number, for example).
Equipment warranty
This section allows you to note all information related to the equipment warranty: purchase date, vendor, warranty duration, etc.
Return of equipment
Following a departure or equipment malfunction, the "Return of equipment" section allows you to record that the equipment has been recovered and its condition upon return.
The "Equipment Loan" tab in Resource cards allows you to check on employees individually.
You can also view the entire list of your loaned equipment in one page. To do this, go to your "Equipment Loan" app from:
Navigation button > Equipment Loan
You will get to the following page, listing all your registered equipment:
As with any module on Boond, you have the option to filter according to your needs: scope, condition, period, etc.
You will also be able to extract your search results.
Am I alerted to recover the equipment from an outgoing resource?
Our Equipment Loan app is currently not connected to notifications. Therefore, you will not receive any alerts on this matter.
Can I add a document as an attachment to my tracking card?
Of course! You can add an attachment after saving the loan for the first time.
Can I modify the dropdown menus available in the equipment loan cards?
These dropdown menus are not customizable. If you think of an important field, we invite you to submit an insight to our support team!
