Creating a positioning

Opportunities > Opportunity card > Positionings tab

 Required

Do not forget to define your opportunity (Title, Expertise area, Activity area, Tools, Place) in order to benefit from the BoondSuggest feature (which came out in August 2023).

You can choose between 3 available search modes for your positionings and deliveries

  • Directly typing the names of your candidates and resources to position them on your opportunities when you know their names
  • Using the BoondSuggest filtering feature
  • Using the basic search mode

How to create positionings.png

By clicking on the "Create a positioning" button, a pop-up appears and gives you the option to choose between 3 search modes, specified below:

  IMPORTANT!

The "direct positioning" and BoondSuggest features are available starting August 2023

Directly positioning one or multiple profiles

When you click on the "+" button for positionings, you get to directly select a candidate or a resource by typing their name if you know them!

You can of course choose to notify the opportunity's manager, and/or the candidate/resource's manager before clicking on Position

Using BoondSuggest

BoondSuggest is available to help you save precious time on filtering profiles. Here's how to make the best use of it

Editing BoondSuggestion criteria.gif

  • Qualify your opportunity at best so that BoondSuggest can use the data.
  • Click on "Position" to start the process.
  • Choose "Profile suggestion": it will indicate the number of found candidates and resources.
  • Edit keywords and filters as needed. The filter bar uses the default BoondSuggest settings but you can save new filtering criteria to be applied to this opportunity only
  • Easily navigate between Candidates and Resources.
  • Select the profiles you wish to position and click on the "Position" button to return to your opportunity card and work on your business prospection.

  Not the right criteria?

Don't hesitate to edit the default search criteria if you often manually change the criteria.

Our basic search mode

You can also choose to use our basic search mode by clicking here:

If so, you will reset keywords and filters that were applied to the search.

Good to know:

You have the possibility to notify the candidate/resource's manager and the opportunity's manager that you positioned a profile.

Defining a positioning

To define the positioning card of a candidate/resource:

Opportunities > Opportunity card > Positionings tab > click on the positioning's line

  1. Select the estimated start and end dates for the project. You will see the number of working days appear on the right of the project's date.
  2. Enter the Sales price per day
  3. Enter the number of sold days
  4. If you positioned a resource, the tool should suggest by default their Average Daily Cost (ADC) in order to calculate the intervention cost on the selected period: (number of invoiced days + number of free days)*ADC. If you do not see the ADC, this would mean that your resource does not have an HR contract (Resource card > Administrative tab). If you positioned a candidate, you will have to manually enter their Average Daily Cost (ADC) for the tool to calculate the intervention cost on the selected period: (number of invoiced days + number of free days)*ADC.

After entering data to define the positioning, you will be able to see the opportunity's "Financial resume".

Here's how this section works.

Understanding an opportunity's financial resume

Opportunities > Opportunity card > Positionings tab

  • Turnover ET = resource's Daily sales price ET x Number of invoiced days
  • Costs ET = resource's Average Daily Cost (ADC) x Number of invoiced days
  • Margin ET = Turnover ET – Costs ET
  • Profitability = Margin ET / Turnover ET x 100

IMPORTANT!

You can choose to enable/disable positionings in an opportunity card. This option allows you to select which positionings are to be included in the calculation for the financial resume.

The "Validate simulation" option available below the opportunity's financial resume allows you to replace the estimated turnover defined in the Opportunity > "Information" tab with the total simulated turnover of the chosen positionings.

Checking and monitoring your positionings

The action will be duplicated in the Actions tab of the Candidate/Resource's card, but also duplicated in the CRM contact card and the Opportunity's card.

To save time, you can also create your action templates for your reports! 😉
